I trained at the Roehampton Institute, gaining the Certificate in Calligraphy and Bookbinding in 1995. From 1996-8 I undertook the Society of Scribes and Illuminators Advanced Training Scheme, after which I set up my calligraphy business. 

Since 1998 my main interest has been in creating Quaker, and other, Marriage Certificates.  I also provide calligraphic services to the University of Cambridge (names on degree certificates and in benefactors' books, for example).

I am a Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society Accredited Tutor, and I teach Adult Education calligraphy classes in Cambridgeshire (See Classes page for more information).

I am a member of Cambridgeshire Area Meeting, where I currently serve as Registering Officer.
